The Long Hours
A translator who can't sleep. Started in a Vienna café, still being figured out.
"The translator's apartment had four windows and three of them faced east. He had chosen it for the morning light, before he learned he would never sleep through a morning again."
untitled novel
Set across three cities and one bad year. Slow. The first draft is a mess on purpose; the second one will know what it is.
Coffee Notebook
A book made out of these journal entries — eventually. The ones that hold up. About travel, writing, and what coffee tastes like in a city you don't yet understand.

Small Hours
A short story about a chess player who learns she has a year to live and decides to spend it losing. Published in Quarterly Review, summer 2025.
"She made the move she would have made anyway, and then she made the next one, and the room was very quiet, and outside it was beginning to snow in the way snow does when it has decided something."
